The housing is designed from sheet metal for easy manufacturing in a sheet metal workshop or on small hobby CNC machines. All parts are deburred, countersunk, bent to shape and riveted together to form a housing.
Cubieboard and adapter board are mounted on 20mm long stand-offs. Two small jumper cables (green and white) connect UART0 on the Cubieboard to the adapter board. The LCD is bonded to the front part of the housing with double sided adhesive tape.
The connector panel is easily removed for modification or replacement in case more connectors are needed for extensions.
